I figured out why Rol doesn't like the game: he doesn't know how to play it.

Finding the right city is a tough thing, especially with these damned hunter-rank limitations on certain quests.

And what's the deal i find with a lot of lower-ranked hunters (but still higher ranked than my 5) doing the shroom gathering quest?

So join up with fellow VGC folks: we'll laugh, we'll cry, we'll get our heads handed to us by Barroth!

And why are you surprised that folks are doing that quest? Everyone likes 'shrooms.

lol I'll say this, I've had my fill of lagicarus, I have no intention of making the lagi + gear, I'm tired of seeing it's ugly mug, 2 more kills of it and I should be done or with some luck maybe 1 run. I'm going to learn to be sick of Barioth pretty soon.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

Unpossible. Big stupid kitties who telegraph their attacks two hours ahead of time never get old! Plus it's always funny to see him do the tail swipe when he no longer has a tail.

I just wish there were shortcuts in the Tundra: hiking to Area 6 gets old real fast.

Damn, reading a few pages itt makes me feel I'll be a n00b forever at that game. The learning curve is really amazing, but I really don't get the grip at everything, like the stats of the weapons, or forecasting the best armor/resistance set to fight a given monster. I must miss something...

Played a bit today, and I really feel better with the hammer. I am HR 10. Yay ! Now, every morning IRL, I go cultivate my herbs, find some shrooms & honey, and prepare well done steaks. Then I'm ready for online quests ^^

Chrizum, sorry mate, but Capcom gave up the friends codes to make something shittier, I can't send you a damn friend acceptation mail unless your online and not in a quest. Or I am a deepless n00b that I thought and I haven't found the function yet.

Is barioth hard, I was going to do him after ratholos, but I cant beat ratholos (he a fucking bitch, just flys the whole fucking time)

There is alot of crap I need his spikes and tail for right now. (Barioth)

Also, how do you get supersized dung? I have had that increase your farm field BS sitting there forever.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Eh, you lot are somewhat out of my league as well. I have a lot of work to do before i can associate with this crowd :/

Barioth is a breeze: he attacks very fast, but he'll give you plenty of warning. Just keep your back to a wall so your in position to counterattack as soon as he finishes his numerous pounce attacks, or you'll spend all your time chasing after him. Also, try to stay on his left side if possible: he can still attack on that end if you've been on that side for a while, but he seems to favor attacking towards his right side.

Be warned though that Barioth spikes are somewhat rare: make a point of breaking his wings (it's not hard) to increase your chances.

As to the dung, I usually just go freehunting in Moga Woods and get it when I come back. I suspect killing Great Jaggi and Rathia in particular plays a role, but I'm not prepared to testify to that effect.

Pish-posh: Amp, Entilzha and I spent some time together hunting Querepeco and Royal Ludroth today. My Hunter Ranking is only 8!

I think it has to do with killing Aptonoth, or Epioth, whichever is the stegosaur. I know i fulfilled that part of it, and i've only just beaten Quropecco, so its something you can do quickly.
