I'd just fight low rank ones anyways since you'll kill your way through them faster and get more chances in the same amount of time. Those %'s are just cruel false hopes, the desire sensor doesn't care. =P

I can't get Uragaan Rubies to save my life but I have more Earth Dragon Gem's then I have Jhen Mohran kills.

EDIT: And don't forget to pick-up Shiny drops, the odds stink, but I have actually gotten a Rathalos Plate that way.

Lawl, me miles behind (HR36 if you're interested) and I've got 12 Rathalos plates- no joke. I actually SOLD a few to fund new weapon research :P

No Rathian plates though

And outside of Deviljho, possibly. Haven't tried him yet.

But who would be legitimately harder? Lagiacrus? Diablos? Rathalos is more dangerously unpredictable than either. Only Nox really gives him a run for his money in terms of unpredictability (though Nox has elements making her easier)

Diablos is much, much harder.  Jho is also. 

Lagi and Nox are about on the same level.

Excellent evening. Got in with a few good groups that made Rathalos... easy (leaves to wash mouth out with soap)

 

(returns) I got a Rathalos plate, made my new weapon and got... another new weapon to make. This one involving Rathian Rubies. But the Flame Sword should be enough. Stuck around for another round and got another plate, too.

Used the weekend for some more arena fights. On Saturday I killed barroth and barioth. Rathalos was limping. I lost because time run out. Damned time limit.

On sunday I tried it again and this time I finally killed all three. My time was 43 minutes. And now I am the proud owner of a barioth coin. Sadly I need at least 3 of them. Which means I must do it 2 more times.

Positive Side effect: I got the Champion's Badge Award. Which means I have now all offline awards.
