Aside from the level of damage he does, Agnaktor is really quite easy. He's kinda like Barioth in that regard.

Difficulty rankings! (disregarding the Elder Dragons who are kinda hard to compare directly with the wyverns)

1. Rathalos
2. Diablos
3. Rathian
4. Gigginox
5. Uragaan
6. Lagiacrus
7. Gobul
8. Barioth
9. Agnaktor
10. Barroth
11. Qurupeco
12. Baggi
13. Royal Ludroth
14. Jaggi

lol! Rathalos #1, Rathalos is not hard, but, just annoying b/c it likes to fly. I would say Diablos is the toughest to hunt followed by Jho.

Agnaktor in 9? What are you smoking?

Agnaktor's low ranking is largely due to the fact that he fails long range more than the 8 above him (except maybe Uragaan, but Uragaan's spin dash attack exclusively put him over the top). Agnaktor's laser is powerful and long range, but has an easy tell and is limited in scope, and his moves are easy to track when he's underground (unlike Diablos where you better Sonic Bomb him or run like hell), and the other 8 above him all have attacks that let them cover the distance of an entire region in an instant, except possibly Gobul (Gobul's higher because he's more dangerous to play with in short-range fighting, imo), and Gigginox (who is extremely dangerous and moreover very deceptive in close combat)

I still think maybe 6 or 7 at the lowest- his HP, high damage and varying zones are nough to put him up there...

I think if I had guard boost when fighting Agna he'd be a joke :P He's kinda tough but nothing serious.

True, but I feel as though Jho was the biggest threat of all. His red mode is mental...

IMO Jho isn't fast enough and is kinda too predictable to be at the top. Alatreon is harder than him. I don't know which weapon you use but if you have a lance with guard 2 then he's not as much of a threat.

Just remeber that I'm still only HR36. I havn't even MET Altearon yet, so I can't be the judge of that...

Oh, well if you're only 36 of course Jho is tough lol. You need better armor/weapons to take him down. When you do, he's not as hard as you think.

Same about everything. I thought that the Great Jaggi was tough at the start...

Guh. Agnaktor is just like Pecco anything, the game will not give me the freakin' beak.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I hate Diablos with 94% of the hate i have for Rathalos, but i finally beat him offline. It took Ingot Plus and a Spiral Splash B, but i did it (mostly because network play was being difficult again)

Got screwed over with a quest failure when we had chased Agnaktor back to his den, which enraged me enough to pull the plug on the Wii (but the game did count it as an abandon, so :P on it), so the gods of internet karma determined that i would hunt Agnaktor no more tonight.

I also played offline mode. Because no one here could give me advice for the barroth, barioth & rathalos offline arena, I decided to try something different. I tried the rathian & rathalos arena quest. This one gave me at least a hammer to fight. It's not my favourite weapon, but I can use it a little bit. Of course I lost at the first try, but I was able to take down rathian. I ran out of potions, so I thought I should use a little trick. I started a two player match and used the players alternatively. So I had the double amount of items. And I really managed to take both down and finally got my first rathalos coin. I did it three more times and now I have an outfit with the skill Carving Master.

Using the hammer was also a nice experience. It's fun to hit a wyvern with a hammer on the head. Maybe someday I will be skilled enough to kill rathian & rathalos with just one player.

I still hope someone can give me hints for the barroth, barioth & rathalos offline arena. The offered weapons are not really my prefered weapons. I have not enough skill with the GS. And I have no experience with the SA, Lance or bowgun. And barioth is one of the monsters, which gives me a few problems. His high initial speed and crazy attack pattern are reasons, why he would be much higher on my list than on Mr Khans.

That's a neat trick there, might try that to farm some coins. I hardly ever play arena so I really can't offer any advice on the bari, barr and thalos arena. Its sounds to me the main problem you have is the weapon choices? Based on your post, I can only conclude that you are most familiar with SnS, LS and a bit of the Hammer. If these are not the choices, then my best advice is to get familiarized with the other weapons :) I would say Lance is pretty easy, as the shield is better than that of the SnS and the attack rate is still pretty decent.

I...have never played the arena. Lie, actually, I did once, but it was lame...
