Typical America falling behind the rest of the world. There accounting, schools, health care, taxes and PS3 sales are all way behind.

I apologize to anyone offended by this post; however, the fact that America still uses there own accounting system instead of the universal system essential to international trade is bad, which is why they are finally switching.

The schools are producing students with test scores well behind other industrialized nations so obviously the standards could be improved

The health care argument is debatable, but most industrialized nations have universal health care I happen to believe it works better than private companies making billions in profits but it is just my opinion it is debatable not definitive.

The tax system is the most complex in the world and considering the US 13 trillion dollar deficit the failure of the tax system to properly fund the budget should be considered; however once again this is an opinion that I presented as a fact.

I believe my reasoning was just but most likely not appropriate for this forum or in the definitive manor I posted it.

This time last year:

DS 384,631
Wii 276,810
PSP 184,060
360 143,165
PS3 142,584
PS2 89,943

Wii up 5K YoY, that's the second March week of Wii being up YoY worldwide. The US is the only place still holding Wii down.

PS3 is up almost 100K! Would have been more without shortages, of course.

360 up 13K. My personal guess is that it's benefiting from the scarcity of PS3's in the US.

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

For this years E3 what I expect the big news sales wise is PRICE CUTS across the board.
DS price cuts
Wii price cut
XBOX360 price cut (slim)
PSP and PS3 *possible* price cuts.

Very impressive PS3 numbers.

Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

Ah ah the traditional kowenicki Microsoft Defense Force post. I thought it would come. The mission is becoming harder and harder for him.

No need to explain anything really... You're famous enough on this site now.

Was this God of War 3 release week? If so, a pretty decent boost all around (except of the US of course).

Although, just yesterday I went to my Walmart and for the first time in weeks they had a full cabinet of PS3's. So either I was there right after they got a shipment or maybe the US will start to see less shortages soon

I've been using Amazon as my barometer for PS3 availability.  Looks like they finally have some in stock today.  A week or two late though to ride the GOW3 wave.
