As I said....who do you think did it? If you say Microsoft or Sony, you're kinda crazy. Sony and Microsoft are only responsible for the mature gamer.

I wont deny their achievements and they deserve respect, but I wont act like they are a game company. They could leave this industry just as easily as Sony. Sony has more reason to stay because the gaming industry bolsters their hardware sales.
I don't believe I mentioned Sony or Microsoft at all in either of those posts. I just said NOT the Wii.

Then who?
I would probably give the credit to the Atari. If I had to choose.

Interesting thought. Why do you think they revolutionized it? I never got a chance to play it.
I have to laugh at "the Americans not being nationalistic". I thought you sang your national anthem before every sport game and with your hand on your heart. (How ridiculous it looks by the way...) I never saw that in any European country or any other country in the world except maybe China or North Korea, but not in any other democracy.
The US is one of the most nationalistic countries in the world... So of course that's what saved the 360 in sales. That, and the fact that it was cheaper and came out one year earlier, ALONE as the only next gen console.
Now maybe Americans were brainwashed by their media to the point they can't even see what they are anymore but that's another topic in itself.
Why do you think 360 sells only in the US now and nowhere else ?

- The PS3 has bluray allowing HD films and larger games - The 360 is not even close to the media center that the PS3 is, which can play music & videos off a data stick, and stream almost any size movie wirelessly without a problem. - Free online - Inbuilt wireless - More powerful console than the 360 (Please don't argue this one, facts are facts) - More high profile exclusives which do not make the cross over to PC, unlike many 360 titles, some being superior (Splinter Cell, L4D, ME1 & 2, Gears of War etc) - Looses less exclusive content than the 360, some being superior/improved for PS3(GTA & Fallout DLC, Tales of Vesperia, Stars Ocean etc) - 360 has a notorious reliability history

Except for one or two points.....I could literally just switch the word "360" with "ps2" and "PS3" with "Xbox"................you points meant nothing last gen and still mean nothing today judging by the sales.
N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!
