After the Yakuza 3 debacle, I'm not sure if it's even worth it?

I did not play the original, but I enjoyed Yakuza 3 from beginning to end.

I'll be buying the next one... if we ever get it.

Regardless of cut content, it's still a good game.

I haven't played it, but from the sounds of it the cut content actually horribly unbalances it.  It really is a hackjob localization.

Also, there's rumors that another company was originally going to localize Y3 (most point to Atlus or Ignition) but SOA took it over last second and rushed it to make the fiscal year.  To be honest, I think RGG would do better here out of Sega's hands...

Play it and then judge it.

Yes the cuts hurt, just as much as the english VA hurts the avarage Japanese game when it isn't optional, but it's still a great game, probably one of the best on the PS3.

Well, that's not really an option for me without a PS3.  I'll just have to go on the insight of others.

It's got tons of good user feedback as they play through game. Yet, Sega botched it, but game is still worth playing.

Select the negative opinions ignoring the positive reception from gamers? Right now Yakuza 3 is getting among with Resonance of Fate is a lot of love and the few people that are playing seem to be enjoying it more than FFXIII or GoWIII. I think that says a lot.
