Yup, too bad people would rather huff and puff, hoot and holler, and whine and cry than actually read the article and take the time to understand it.

Can this be locked already?

why would it be locked?

It is no longer on topic. It is now a topic about who owns a DS. It is annoying.

true story

Didn't Sony call the DS a gimmick?, I bet Nintendo hopes this ones turns out just the same!
Talking of demographics, designing a handeld for 8-9 year olds with dual screen and stylus control makes even less sense than 3D.

why do I see sony fans in a few stories and threads on here really having a go at the 3DS?

whats the problem guys?

are you talking about me?

no i just see a general movement against this for some reason in a few places on here....

its not "sony fans" its comments like yours that cause issues. The fact people are choosing to post or whatever is completely independant on whether or not theyre "sony fans" You are trying to label an entire group of posters here based on a small minority youre conveniently singling out. From a contributer of this site, its rather unbecoming.

RE: Kids and 3D

My kids (4,6,7) absolutely LOVE 3D stuff and have asked repeatedly why they can't watch stuff at home in 3D.

Sony is just back peddling to its investors as to why Nintendo has once again beaten them to the next requirement in gaming.

Also, considering Sony's push for 3D TVs using the active shutter system (which I despise), Nintendo is one-upping the idea with the far more realistic approach of no glasses.

What was Sony supposed to do huh, stick 3D TV Sets on top of their PS3 models?

Sony will be first to the market with 3D gaming. Sony have been the ones pushing for 3D for a long time now.

Don't act like that isn't the truth and all of a sudden Nintendo are the 3D gaming pioneers.

You do also know there are TVs releasing that require no glasses right?

By the way, I still think this new DS is absolutely fantastic and I will be picking it up on day 1, especially if this E3 showing blows my mind like I expect it to.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

They never called the DS a gimmick..also, it wont since SONY has announced long ago that the Playstation 3 will offer 3d gaming/movies this year..

although the need for glasses is there. If a 3d tv costs that much, I can only imagine how much a 3DS will cost with a screen that can do 3D without glasses, if tv's with glasses cost well over 2k.
