Just like I still think HD-TV are crap, the HD signal (and recordings) alone makes the Picture quality a lot better...

you have a weird opinion. To an extent I agree. On small TVs a digital signal is much more important than higher resolution.

May I ask if you are watching HD on a tiny TV? I can see the lack of benefit if you are on a 25" TV, but on 32" 720P is a big improvement, on 55" TV, 1080p is a huge improvement over 480p.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I have a 21" TV using 1080i/720p. I just recognised that small SD-TV fed with a HD-TV signal (and recording) scaled down to fit its screen looks as awesome as my TV at home... well I do not know how it really works but thats how some guy at work explained it to me, and I saw it with my own eyes.

Maybe its all just because of the small TV sizes I use... the SD-TV had 19" and like said before my HD-TV has 21"
