Now that Nintendo revealed what's new in their next portable gaming device, do you think the next PSP will feature such a 3D tech too?

I think Sony has learned something about this gen.

Toughts about this?

Definitely possible, but I'm not sure they'll be going in the same direction with the PSP as before. They could surprise the Hell out of us.

Considering Sony have been pushing 3D for a while now, and the new DS is also getting 3D...

I would say yes.

It will probably be in the PSP2-4000.6 released roughly 2 1/2 years after the PSP2.

Yeah, but the question is if it's auto-3D, which is to say rendering in 3D without glasses

They better have something at least as innovative as this.

Because if the "innovation" is a touch screen phone... well...

Well i'm pretty sure that with all the 3D talk they have been doing, they will have also been researching/developing "auto-3D".

So it's very possible. Maybe they already had it planned for PSP2. Maybe there wont be a PSP2 at all in the next few years... Who knows?

With the way I see how Sony works I will have to say yes.

I think it should have it but now I'm not sure Nintendo really got a good jump on them with this announcement. For them to come out with the same tech will lead to the same "me too" feelings that have hit Move. Its surprising more hasn't been heard about the next PSP as it clearly needs a new upgrade more so than the DS.

Definitely possible. Also I heard that by 2015-2020 3D tvs will be available too without the need for 3D glasses.
