Hmm.... no. It'll do it in Europe and keep it in Japan easily, but it won't overcome the NA difference. Most of the big guns have been fired already, and I don't see anything suddenly propelling it past the 360 on a WW basis- there's a counter for most things already.

Maybe. I think GT will give the PS3 a big boost in sales, I'm pretty sure the E3 line-up will be phenomenal too, better than 09s.

2010 will be kinda slow after GT5 though, might see Resistance 3 but it won't boost sales dramatically. In 2011 the great devs of the current set of AAA exclusives the PS3 has will be pushing out there new titles. (LBP2, KZ3, UC3, MS3 and so on)

not gonna happen, its been nearly 3 1/2 yrs since the PS3 launched and its been able to cut the X360 lead down to 5.7 million from how much? 6 million? I think people need to understand the cyclical nature of the gap btwn these 2 consoles, the momentum shift has been determined by price cuts. The next price cut will probably come from MS. The only way i see one of the 2 taking off and not looking back at the other is if there motion control initiatives they come up with become successes (and i have my own personal predictions about how that will play out).

either way, the harder sony has to work to catch up, the better games we get to play as gamers- sounds great to me!!!

Price cuts wont push the 360 as much anymore.. it will push sony to higher levels, since $199 is the greatest increase in sales..

I dont think so. I know its possible, but the reversal Sony would need in the US is highly unlikely. And I dont see the other markets making up the difference.
