ps3 exclusives will always have the best graphics. Gears of War 3 will probably coming in 2011, almost a 2 year gap btw it and UC2, but honestly i don't think that it can have better graphics then UC2. I don't think that any game on xbox can beat UC2 their engine isn't capable.

PS3 has a superior engine, GOW3 which has the best graphics to date only used 50 % on the engine, so future PS3 excluvies will possibly reach 70 % and 80%, i really can't imagine how the games will look.

Well I would say don't underestimate Epic. They have been around for a loooong time. At least it shows that competition is good for the gamers if the studios are all trying to outdo each other.

lets just wait for the last guardian, kz3, uc3, hell maybe even r3 if insomniac wants their game to be up there with "best graphics ever". Also alan wake, halo reach, and maybe a couple others im not thinking of right now, crysis 2. Theres no doubt gears 3 is going to look fantastic and ill definitely be pickin it up day one, but its got some seriouso competition.

Epic is using a new version of the Unreal Engine, so it should be a significant leap from a technical standpoint.

We'll see. I'd put my money on it still looking distinctly like an Unreal Engine game.

I'm a bit more curious to see whether the game itself takes any significant leaps forward, seeing as how Gears 2 primarily improved on the multi-player modes whereas the campaign was not quite the epic, engaging saga boasted about and the game play was basically unchanged.

Really?  I haven't played Uncharted 2 yet, but I really was not impressed at all with Heavy Rain's graphics.  I loved the game as a whole, but the graphics and animations were lacking in quite a few places.  The graphics were good enough for what was needed, but it was mostly flat textures and the filmgrain effect covered up most of the other missing graphic needs.
