Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft should have a playstation home equivalent

I think that it would be pretty awesome if the xbox to gets a playstation home equivalent. The difference, however, is that the xbox version relies on your gamerscore. The way it would work would be that whatever your gamerscore is, you'll get that same amount in xbox Home currency on a weekly basis. The more gamerscore points, the more money you'll have to spend in xbox Home. This would definitely make me pay more attention to my gamerscore, and make me want to play more games.

With the xbox home money, you can use it to rent apartments, play select arcade games, buy stuff like clothes, cars, decorations for your house and many many other things. And maybe microsoft could make places like casino's where you can play poker and gamble with other people.

What do you guys think?

As much as I think Home is a sad, sad waste of time, your idea about gamerscore for items in MS's version is a good one. I just want avatar awards really.

Waste of valuable gaming time.

I like the focus on the dashboard. I don't need to needlessly walk anywhere to do something.

ive only used home three or four times to see if it was any better than it was but its still the load of rubbish it always was none of my friends bother with it either

Why? Home is pretty much a waste and the only good part they're already planning to do-- the Arcade (and as an added bonus, you don't have to wait in line!).

My dsister account only has 800 points =/

Not cool :p

Looks like I'm moving into the ghetto

i, too, don't like these virtual spaces.
So, to me, they shouldn't do it.

I don't know about that. I'm a proud PS3 owner but I've never used Home. I think its a waste of time the way it is now. Really doesn't appeal to me at all.

If MS should have an equivalent of Home they'd better build something more exciting...

Well game room is bit in that direction. It would be nice if they could make something community related. Like a MS forum where you can have discussions about games or can ask for help if your stuck in a game that you enter on the dashboard. Like go to this game's marketplace but then also go to this game's (forum) board.

Talking about Home...I remember I played something not long ago with machines that I liked...

Edit:  Sodium you should try it out in home. It is not great but I must say it is ejoyable for a while:

I think it would be an epic waste of money for MS to do that. The whole thought of a virtual world where you can buy things for your virtual world is humorous to me.
