After the whole Fable thing, i find it difficult to take anything he says seriously.

But still, that doesn't mean it isn't serious. He just has to prove it first

Well can't say i've been following his Fable III stuff except that one time at GDC , but each time i see him being interviewed about it i just skip it and never watch it, why? well i don't wanna be disappointed the third time in the final product xD

Fable was awesome. I didn't know about all the bullshit that happened though until i started browsing the net and reaserching the games.

Fable 2 was a HUGE letdown IMO. Almost put me completely off Fable 3. But then i've seen videos of F3, and i can't resist. I just don't know if i will rent it this time...

even though it was a letdown for me as well its still a great game.

Lol, I meant to say that!

But I think 400 times is a good guess

forget about that guy, however fable 2 was pretty amazing, so assuming that he build on that, then fable 3 must be something to brag about... (personal opinion)

Fable was so much better than the disappointment that is Fable 2.

This proves it.

Fable II not having stuff like this is such an absolute let down and honestly made me dislike the game.

I first played Fable in 2008 and it gave me such incredible expectations for the 2nd title, but then they seemed to have taken awa so much of what made Fable so incredivbly awesome.

Give me kick ass fucking uber armor Mr. Molyneux! I will praise you!!!

I never owned an original xbox so I never got to play the first Fable (more importantly KOTOR!!! WHY?!?!?!) could you actually talk to people in the first one, or did it at least convey like you were a normal person who could actually talk and have a conversation, Or did it completely brake emmersion with emotes like farting and dancing like the second? That's what I couldn't understand. Peter hypes up how realistic his games are with all of the things that you can do in them and then completely makes the world as unrealistic and cartoony as possible.

you  can have a conversation with NPCs with quests but the other NPCs you can do emotes and such, and play with , marry and all that.

Fable is meant to be unrealistic, so i guess you should play another game

For me Fable II stomps all over the original. The world in the original is far too small for my liking, and Fable II is more open. That combined with my dog, which is probably one of the best design choices I've seen in awhile, makes it a no brainer for me to choose Fable II over the first game, put it right behind the Mass Effect series as my favorite game this gen, and also be super pumped for Fable III.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

I trust Peter fully. Fable II is genius, in my opinion. Take everything he says and reduce it by 35% and you get the real deal. And that 65% that remains is nearly always awesome.

I'd much rather have people pushing for the truly visionary like Peter than settling for the same ols same old like so many do. You may fail to reach the stars, but you might fins some cool stuff on the way.

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

The only thing Pete has done wrong is talk about the highly ambitious designs he has for his own games. If he had never mentioned what he initially aspired his games to contain, none of this backlash would have happened. Development just couldn't keep up with his mind.

i really liked fable 2 much more than the original. i found myself really getting into the job system and property buying. but i guess if you really want more of a scripted fleshed out storyline that you would see in a JRPG, you might be a little dissappointed. I personally wish there was more interesting and diverse side missions or at least more optional dungeons/caves to explore ala Oblivion (except less cookie cutter). cant wait to see how fable 3 turns out.

as for milo, ill wait to see how it turns out by E3. hopefully they'll address the concerns people have (i mean, programming responses to seemingly unlimited questions for a video game character is probably no easy feat). my prediction is that they'll turn the game into a interactive adventure game with a plot/events similar to Pixar/Dreamworks computer animated movies.

The only time I ever agreed with him was his comment on Heavy Rain.
