I exchanged the 360 at Best Buy today. So now I'm gonna hook it up the new one and hope that this power supply isn't faulty, or I think we might have a new problem on our hands. Wish me luck.

EDIT: This is weird. I opened it and even though this 360 looks identical to the one I had yesterday, this box contains a free month of Xbox Live and a 110 volt power supply. The one I returned had a 125 volt power supply.

They are all 110 volt power supplies in the USA. Unless you imported it from Mars its going to be 110 volts.

You may be getting different wattage thought. Xbox360 has had 3 major motherboards. 205 Watts, 175 Watts and 150 Watts for the latest falcon model.

The 205 power supply will work with the other two but not vice versa.

On top of that Microsoft has changed the powersupply plug slightly with each revision. You can't plug them in without major modification to the plug.

Just some info for ya...

I just noticed that its practically the same lol. Though its weird how the other was missing the free Xbox Live. Hmmm...

Thats cool.

BTW each xbox comes with a free month of xbox live. When creating a new account if you say "No keep silver" and don't sign up for gold, they will say "Here is a free month of gold"

You can do that 4 time with each xbox with different email addreses...

So far so good. I've had it hooked up for about 15 minutes and the power supply has been dead quiet. I'll keep an eye on it and see what it does when I install the wireless adapter.
