I know it is almost certain it will but the question is when? Will God of War 3 put the PS3 on top in others? Or will gran turismo 5 give the PS3 its final push?

Hasn't it already happened several times on this site? It's impossible to say because the goalposts keep moving with the adjustments.

Hah, I thought it did already. I mean... it has outsold the 360 every month for god knows how long. Was the 360 undertracked or was the PS3 overtracked?

it happened like 10 times already , "Others" is in balance for now.

Is this an other "360 is the only competitions to the PS3" thread?

I ask because as far as I know the Wii have about 13M lead on the PS3 in Others and I hardly see any of these 2 games making the PS3 close the gap as their combined others sales are not even close to 13M.

Since Sony is bringing out motion controls and is mocking Wii on equal grouds to 360 in their commercials, maybe it's about time that these threads folow the lead of the company they are supporting. Otherwise you might as well say the Cell is all powerfull so all competition is irrelevant.

As for the games you mentioned... look at the sales history of GoW3... it'll have only very marginal effect in the arms race (especially since many games of this genre have been comming out lately, some to high acclaim).

GT5 will help... though the long wait could verywell backfire to the sales... (and selling 15M on a 30M userbase would be quite impressive... don't expect more than 7M-8M in the first months though).

You know as well as I do the OP was comparing the PS3 and 360.

The PS3 will pass the 360 in others.. again, but I think every time there is an adjustment setting the 360 back on top, that means that it is less likely to happen again. (what i mean is, adjustments should be trusted as ways to correct incorrect data, therefor there is less of a chance for adjustments to the numbers now more than ever).. so ...

I have faith that when the PS3 does take the lead (over the 360 in others) that it will be the last time it will do so.

I mean we can' t know... there is NO official info about European charts, so we will never know when (and IF) PS3 will overcome 360.
Those charts on this site are false: only invented charts, based on predictions...

I'll say what people always say when other make posts like yours in these threads; this is about the HD battle for 2nd place. The winner is set in stone and over and done with, 2nd place is still not decided and still holds a shred of excitement to it and that is why people even care.

People don't need to be reminded in every thread that the Wii has sold and is still selling the most, that much is abundantly clear from simply viewing the front page (which you do every time you enter the site).

so technically, PS3 could already be in the lead if these charts are predictions...
