Forums - Gaming Discussion - To Microsoft and Nintendo fans

I'm confused a bit. We seem to talk about Sony as a publisher. Who cares if they publish the game? Shouldn't we be discussing Sony the developer?

What games have Sony developed?(Serious question since the PS3 is my first PlayStation)

Go here to see what they developed themselves.

But you're right, we do seem to have gone more towards Sony as a publisher.

Sony >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MS + Nintendo in terms of Variety in exclusives
NOTE : Variety =/= Quality

Imo, this is not even a contest.

Sony >>> MS > Nintendo

Uncharted + Killzone + inFamous + Rathcet and Clank + Gran Turismo + Wipeout + God of War + Team ICO games + Resistence + Heavy Rain + LBP + Many more new IPs and old IPs to return = Sony

Gears, Halo, Forza, PGR, Fable, Crackdown, Rare = MS
MS really needs to improve their first party and stop relying on 3rd party exclusives

Nintendo (this is where it gets meh to me...butt not to millions of others) = 2D Mario, Mario Kart, Super Mario Galazy, Wii Fit, Wii Sports, Metroid...

The only thing that interests me is Metroid...Honestly ask yourself whether Nintendo isn't lagging behind Sony in terms of AAA high quality games...Sony has way more variety. Nintendo games are family oriented and way too kiddy imo...except Metroid..Nintendo Fisrt party games don't appeal to me at all...

I dare you to find a game franchise more revered than Mario, Metroid or Zelda. Every time Nintendo makes a game, it automatically becomes one of my favorite games of all time. There are NO exceptions to this rule.

As good as Sony's games may be, they have no soul. In every Nintendo game, I can feel the love and dedication that went into making it. Whether it from the writing and story (Fire Emblem), or the great characters and puzzles (Zelda), great atmosphere (Metroid), or even just the pure joy (Mario), nothing in any generation has rivaled Nintendo, and nothing ever will.

P.S. I am completely unashamed to admit my Nintendo fanboyism.

Most of those are definitely quality games. Even I can admit that.

However, out of all the ones listed, I only really care about Resistance, Uncharted, Legend of Dragoon, and maybe Ico.

=/ It's all a matter of taste. I know the food that Sony cooks looks delicious and other people find it delicious, however, I'm more inclined to eat the food that Nintendo cooks.

I don't see any fanboyistic remarks.

What you've said is pretty much a fact. xD

Oh god..Fire Emblem..>__>; If a character dies...no, that just WILL NOT HAPPEN. *restarts level*

personally i feel that each console has its own array of quality software. although it seems like there is something special about playstation games. actually, lately sony has been releasing some impressive games. i dont feel for an overall line up, either microsoft or nintendo can match sony. i can say that between microsoft and nintendo, i'd chose the 360. i prefer a more mature nature of game. of course nintendo does a great job for what they do.

You failed to mention Fire Emblem or Zelda. For this you must burn in the fires of Hades, as they are bar none the best Nintendo franchises. Also kiddy =/= bad. More often than not Serious = Bad. Games are made for fun, not to be gritty and realistic.

Also, I should point out that you named some non-first party games, such as Heavy Rain and Resistance.

lol wait. since when were we discussing exclusives? we're comparing sony as a developer to nintendo and microsoft as a developer. Who the fuck cares what other companies make?

Cain! What are you doing?! NO! CAIN!!!!!!!

Basically sums up every battle in FE for me. (It would be better if Cain didn't suck so much, but he's a really cool character, so I'll let it slide.)

I wouldn't have minded if you just said that you prefer Nintendo games...theres nothing wrong with that opinion..But "lacking soul" is a serious accusation....

God of War, Uncharted

Uncharted

God of War, Team ICO games

This is something that almost ALL Sony exclusives have - Killzone, Uncharted, God of War, inFAMOUS

Wipeout, LBP, God of War, inFamous
