2- The tendency to turn games to "appeal for everyone" (Examples: Command & Conquer 4, Final Fantasy XIII, Prince of Persia 2008)

Although FFXIII is by no means an easy game or a bad game, it's over-simplified and converted to mainstream.
C&C4 is totally crap, only noobs can stand that shit. A game specially made for noobs, totally innovative.
Prince of Persia is so ridiculous easy that a blind 100ih year old man can Platinum or get 1000 gamescore in it.


Ouch, so much hate. Anyways I'm loving this generation so far: Uncharted series, Starcraft 2 (awesome beta), Borderlands, Mass Effect series and Demon's Souls comes to mind,

Oh yeah, that's for sure!

Also a popular nowadays phrase comes to mind: "This game is too linear"

Oh God, how I hate this phrase...

The core gaming experience is long gone by now; except for a very few exceptions. That's what I dislike most about this generation.

Dumbing down and Graphic whoring. I bet the first one will happen on even larger scale when motion controls get out.

As much as I enjoy what this site has to offer, it's down side has been my exposure to console co-dependant gamer fanatics. And worse me crossing the line from time to time. I voted "Other" because I'm sure this particular unpleasant side of gaming hasn't really changed much this gen, it's just my level of exposure to it has markedly increased. Though I do feel like this site has become better over time and probably has a pretty even tempered membership in comparison to other sites.

Overall though the positives have outweighed the negatives.

I would say butthurt 360 fanboys and the fact i havnt got enough money nor time to buy/play all the games i want.I spent 1000 euro on games last year -_-

- Fanboys...they have found a new low level this gen.

- Generalization. (Nintendo fans does that, Sony fans does this etc...)
I'm sick of hearing people hating on whole fanbases because of what a small group of people (fanboys) says. I can't take those people seriously and if we want a more peaceful gaming community generalization needs to die.

- Casual vs hardcore. Yuck, it just screams of elitism and even fascism...

- Not enough money in my wallet.

- Graphics whores. They are counting pixels! Counting pixels! WTF!!!???

Dumbing down of many core RPG franchises to cater to a demographic that will never be interested in them (Oblivion, FFXIII, etc)

What I hate this Gen

• All the JRPG hate this Gen from many review websites and gamers that never liked JRPGs in there life.
• the belief that Games like FFXIII & TEKKEN 6 were dumbed down visually and gameplay wise because they went Multiplatform
• the belief that if a game is linear it automatically sucks   

Why there are a Wii option and not a 360 or PS3 options?
