Well maybe not the greatest but he was by far and away my favourite in ME2 ( Jack and Jacob the worst).

He's right up there in my books along with captain Qwark.

Honorable mention;

For some reason I really liked Argo (although he doesnt really have a personality) he was my only friend in that vast lonely world

I abhored Rico in Killzone 2 and in the same vein my squad mates in Gears of War

Thane and Sazh are best support characters this gen. Sazh single handling helped me get through Final Fantasy 13. Without his humor in key moments I would have never beat the game.

I really liked Mordin, but I wouldn't go that far. I think Bioware's other titles have had some pretty memorable supporting characters such as Jolee Bindo, HK-47, & Wrex. I also preferred Thane & Samara to Mordin, and even though he wasn’t playable I thought the Illusive Man was pretty damn cool as well. ME 2 had one of the best ensemble casts & voice actors in any game I’ve ever played.

Mordin and Miranda are the only two team members you really need in your squad. They provide the perfect balance with Shephard regardless of chosen specialist class. The other team members are good but those two mentioned stand out in Mass Effect 2.

Mass Effect 2 was far more epic and it had a much better combat system than its predecessor Mass Effect. Mass Effect 2 is definitely one of the top 10 RPGs of all time.

I wish Samara and Legion had bigger roles in ME2. Tali or Garrus would be my favourites of the series. Bastila and Wynne of Bioware fame have some of the most beautiful voices I've heard in video games. Cortana is another favorite. Visas Marr from Sith Lords or Sheva Alomar of RE5 are serious backup. IDK it's not the sexiest it's the best right so... ummmm, Saren. No Alyx Vance. I give up. Will the correct answer be later in the thread?
