Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What did you like about Twilight Princess?

I loved the excellent dungeon design, the improved combat, and the Twilight Realm. My only real (and minor) complaints are the somewhat empty overworld, making Kakariko village a western town (wtf), and a lack of really interesting NPCs.

It's tied with the Wind Waker as my third favorite game of all time. I felt Twilight Princess was all around a more enjoyable experience, as it never had any slow sections quite like the Wind Waker, but the Wind Waker sits better in my memory, due to the wonderful style of the game.

Edit:

Oh yeah, the bosses were pretty unoriginal too.  One of them was a giant Pirahna Plant.  Like we haven't seen that in a Nintendo game before.

the good controls and fast action (if compared to other zeldas)

Navi isn't in it.

To be honest........almost no different from what I like about all Zelda games. I guess for Twilight Princess the wolf concept...........

"The Common Cold Isn't So Common During The Cold"

I tried, but I couldn't get into it, it felt a bit too pedestrian and twee for me.

The dude abides

That final boss. Dayumn, most epic music and atmosphere ever!

Also, you get to go inside Hyrule Castle, one thing I always dreamed of doing in OOT.

Oh, and the Link design is just too cool in that game.

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Motion Controls and Midna!

- Pointer aiming
- The atmosphere created by the lighting effects
- Massiveness
- Sound
- Epicness created through the awesome battles

What I didn't like and what put its below Wind Waker, Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time, is the fact that you're pretty much alone through all of your quest. The NPC's where meaning less, unlike in the games mentioned (SPECIALLY in MM, in where they played a major role and had whole personalities)

Easy:
1. Midna
2. Incredible new weapons (ball and chain, dominion rod)
3. Controls (wii mote implementation in the bow and arrow, slingshot etc)
4. Great Music, i luv it, hyrule field FTW!
5. Mature story line
6. Link looks better than ever in this game, Toon Link sucks nintendo, stop making games with that character.
7. It was lenghty (80 hours: cave of ordeals: check, bugs: check... and still some poes to go)
8. The fact that you can use the sword while running.
9. That you have a team of friends that help u sometimes
10. Great bosses and dungeons!
I freakin love this game, my fave wii game, we need the new zelda NOW!

EDIT: Also the final boss battle was epic! it remind me of the spaceworld tech demo back in 2000 (or 2001?) where link and ganon were in the middle of a sword fight

what i didnt like...well, the lack of graphical improvement over the GC version and at the beginning i didnt enjoy being a wolf, but after you can decide when and where  to be a wolf, I started enjoying it

The boss fights. Tho easy, it was quite unique

The epicness of it all, as well as the tight controls and sweet, sweet music (even though it was midi). Also, the characters designs and overall atmosphere of the game were fantastic.
