But PSP still the best selling non-nintendo handheld.

Well, that's damning with feint praise.

It's not like PSP's the first successful non-Nintendo handheld.  It's sold a lot, gotten decent marketsare, attracted decent support, likely made good profit, and ultimately failed to make *any* real impact on Nintendo.  Sounds like Game Gear or WonderSwan to me.

Just because it didnt dethrone nintendo doesnt mean its comparable to the game gear which sold 11 million units and the bandai wonderswan SHIPPED 1 million units.......worldwide. Come on now.

Okay, whatever, just the fact you consider the PSP in the same league success wise relative to nintendo as the gamegear and wonderswan tells me to back away slowly form this thread, later.

But PSP stil the best selling non-nintendo handheld, and sure it had a good impact in industry because it stream of AAA games and home-consoles like games. The idea for PSP at first was to give to players the same experiencia they had in home consoles but in a handheld.

And this concept was what made PSP so atracting at first, it just didn't tried to compete with Nintendo for traditional handheld gamers. The only thing that really is a fail for PSP is it piracy rate that just killed the system with time, Sony should just release a NEW handheld with ultra-enhanced piracy prevention and be happy.

Well no, I'm not doing that either.  I wouldn't equate PSP's level of success to GG or WS.  In fact, I wouldn't equate GG and WS as having the same level of success either, though you seem to have no issue with that implication.

I'm just saying, none of these platforms have even been able to even dent Nintendo.  Even slightly.  Nintendo's stronger now than they've EVER been in fact.  What's that say about PSP?
