Oh and i wasnt even born back then...but Nintendo was at a all time high thats what i know

totally, I have my first atari 2600 at 5 yr old, with the almighty Asteroids! I think that was back in 1987...

I was remember gaming in the arcades back in 1980 (I was 5.). Got my first console in 82 (Atari 2600). My friends got an Intellivision so I would play over there a lot. I got a Colecovision, then they came over and played a lot. It was all over in 1988 though when we all got the NES and Sega Master System. Talk all you want about Mario Brothers, I was addicted to Alex Kid In Miracle World.

Classic.

Yes. I was gaming on the Spectrum 2048 - Pole Position, Bruce Lee, Commando, Match Day, Saboteur, Bomb Jack, Beach Head, Moon Alert,...

I'm actually shocked to see that there are people older than me in this forum. I knew there were several just a few years younger (we were all on the cusp of game-loving) but shocked to see some people who actually witnessed things I did not (and I'm old enough to have witnessed everything in the world of consoles).

To see dudes approaching 40 and still playing games, well... that's just not something I ever expected in my lifetime and maybe I should write that as my next editorial. It wouldn't get many clicks but damned, it'd be interesting to read about.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

I've gamed through everything, I think. I started on this baby: take a look at this awesomeness. I loved that thing (although my version had more games than that one). Moved onto Atari consoles and computers after that, with a few others thrown into the mix as I went.

Yes, I am fairly old.

Back then I was an avid PC gamer - Frogger and Microsoft (?) flight simulator on the good old XT come to mind.

But also of course the NES, with Snake Rattle n Roll, Ducktales, Zelda 2, Kid Icarus, Ice Climbers and SMB2+3 giving the fondest memories
