Ok...they made Call of Duty 4 DS but not Wii??? I mean it would've been a great game.... P.S. Typing on the Wii takes tooooooo long

Would have been nice since I think it is a great game. They did make call of duty 3 for the Wii. Maybe they just didn't have the resources this time around.

yeah. they should have. MoH:H2 proved fps is better on Wii.

Because they are lazy developers: On PC, PS3 and 360, you have the power right there, easiliy available for your use. Even when NOT used in a optimal way, your game will look kinda nice.

The Wii is not like this: You have to struggle and get to use even the last drop of processing power in a perfect way to make your game look good compared to the other three.

Exactly..they made CoD3 but not 4??? Maybe they'll make CoD5 for Wii.....I think they could get that done by late 2008/early 2009......

So they dont listen me when I say the wii needs :

SC4/RE5/SH5/CoD4/UT3/ACreed AND GTA4 (!!!) etc ...
(with adapted gfx of course)

If all these games would have been announced/released on Wii, the PS3 AND the Xbox360 would be DEAD by now.

Since these games (I assume +80% of the multi-plateform games) are still exclusive to Xbox360/PS3, the Wii is only targetting Nintendo fan and casual gamers.

Of course the Wii is selling like hot cakes but for how long ?
Wiifit sales will be critical in my opinion.

This game is meant as an a graphical achievement on its own. Of course they won't bring it to Wii. Just accept that some games are just not meant to be on Wii.
Personally I couldn't care less if this were on Wii, I don't buy games that are in some way or form better on another system. Does that mean I'll only buy Wii exclusives? No, but things like Need for Speed and FIFA won't enter my collection until they make it better suited for Wii.
PES08-Wii looks promising because they actually make the game more complex but with really good control on the game.

Not every game needs to be on every platform.  Personally, I'm glad they didn't.

I tend to agree that this wasn't necessary.

We'll see how MoH does on the Wii, but generally speaking, Nintendo platforms have not been a breeding ground for highly competitive FPS. Conversely, the PS3 and especially 360 have been very fertile ground for such games.

The Wii's runaway success does create complications: specific types of games are becoming associated with it, and developers reasonably conclude that games outside of those types will not succeed (this isn't different than the 360's position: look at Viva Pinata and Eternal Sonata. Games that don't involve a lot of testosterone aren't doing well). I wouldn't say it's impossible that something like CoD4 would succeed on the Wii, but I'd certainly say it would be a high risk venture.

If you want this put simply: Nintendo's family friendly marketing strategy certainly has its benefits, but it's also effectively anti-marketing games like CoD4. You could seriously make an argument that the heavy penetration of games like Wii Sports -- and the fact that Nintendo trumpets the significance of such games -- has a directly adverse affect on the prospects of games like CoD4 on the Wii.
