Jereel Hunter said: Bear in mind, if we are talking about 'gaming' and not just console gaming, then Microsoft publishes a VAST number of PC games. They are a gaming giant on par with Sony, as they are dominating Sony in NA consoles, and their PC game publishing competes with Sony's oversea's dominance. |
Change that "publishes" to "published" and your statement would be more accurate. I can't think of a full budget PC game Microsoft has published since 2007. Flight Sim is gone, Big Huge games was sold and Ensemble was disbanded. Gears 2, Halo 3 and Fable 2 haven't seen any PC releases even though they're prevoius iterations had. MS have solely focused on the 360 this gen and gradually pulling PC support. Last year MS published on the PC (according to MGS wiki page):
-
- Tinker
- Osmos
- World of Goo
1 puzzle game, and 2 indie Games for Windows Live titles. In 2008 I don't think they published a single game. In fact, MS have done more to try to kill PC gaming this gen than any other publisher (which is saying alot considering some of the stupid DRM schemes) by adding Games for Windows Live with all of 2 games, having to log in just to save your game and then trying to charge PC gamers to play online. Then there was the crap with DirectX10 being Vista only when you could force all the extras on XP. OK, I'll stop ranting now.
