Introducing the Playstation Move, a brand new way of playing games in HD only on PS3!!

Now some of you may claim it to be a simple ripoff and copy of the wiimote, whilst I agree it looks very similar, the wand based motion control has been in development since 2004, and here is the proof right here.

Also some of you may have doubts about it's precision and speed after some of the negative feedback from the GDC conference, what you must remember is most of the demo's was not finished, and still have plenty of improvements to be made, just to ease your worries this is how precise and fast ps move can be, the video basically shows complete tracking of the upper body, without any lags, it is very impressive.

The games so far have shown nothing new from what we have seen so far from the Wii, but none the less, there are more to come (which I will discuss later), but just think of the possibilities, they are endless, and with Sony supporting the hardcore from the start you can tell that Sony are looking to support both casual and harcore users, so we shall all get games we are interested in but with new ways of playing on PS3.

Here is the list of games that they have shown so far (mostly from the GDC)

• Dukes — Brawl your way to the top in this brutal bare-knuckle boxing game.

• Move Party — Chaotic multiplayer where you never know what will happen next!

• Sports Champions — The greatest athletes in the world are ready, are you?

• TV Superstars — Be a contestant in five TV game shows to prove that you are the biggest star.

• Slider — Kung-fu action – on an office chair!?!

• The Shoot — Take out the bad guys but make sure the movie director likes your style!

More news both from first and third party publishers to follow in the near future…

You will be able to get involved with PlayStation Move in several ways:

• Camera + controller (including a “starter disc” with a range of demos for games releasing later in the year)
• A single controller for people who already have a PlayStation Eye camera
• A full console pack which includes PS3, dualshock3, Move controller + camera
• Finally some of our biggest games will be available with a Move controller included

Here is Sony's vision on current and future games for the Ps Move

From this video you can tell they have so much more up their sleeves, I can predict at sometime in the future they will make some form of RPG that will be compatible with move, and this possibility reallly excites me.

Finally there will be a package availble for interested customers for under $100, at the moment we do not know how much it will cost in Europe, Ps Move is set to release come fall, but hopefully at E3 we shall get an even closer look at Ps Move

good thread, yet another playstation move thread.

i think the final product will be pretty good and will come with good games to play.

ive never been a fan of motion games, but many people will pick this up.

one things for sure popular games like shooters, you can use the move to play them all in stunning grafix.

theres never been a better time to get a ps3.

didnt know it had voice recognition also

Resident Evil 5 with "Move" controls is my dream come true. I'll probably get a "Move" but I REALLY wish that Sony had come up with a better name. It just doesn't feel right using such a common verb in that context.

- i am a PS3 User and i confess that the Move's appearence is very similar to a Wii-Mote.

- i am a Wii User and i will enjoy this confession quietly.

i prefer Gem, but Move isnt to bad, and yes resident evil 5 with Move controls would be good

Lol so very true

Now that I think about it, I love Resident Evil 4 so much on the Wii because its the only game that I own that controls like that.  Having a pointer is perfect third person shooter.  But, with the PS3 --oh my God!  There are other games that could benefit from the awesome controls that RE4 had.  Imagine:  Uncharted 2!! 

That would be truly mindblowing lol, ND did say they was interested in the PS Move, so who knows, maybe support will be added for Uncharted 3??

Lets not all forget about Socom 4, I am getting that instead of MAG now hehe, and the possiblity of R3 or KZ3 having Ps Move support is now higher
