Forums - Microsoft Discussion - The Pricing for MW2's first map pack is riddiculous!

I thought the game was fine, and all, but 1200 points for 5 frigging maps is just insane!  I'm certianly not going to tell anybody how to spend their money, but that is just simply too much, imho.  We need to change Bobby Kotick's name to Gordon Gekko...given all the soap opera shit surrounding the Inifinite Ward break-up, this just icing on the cake!

I'd do it to if I was Activision. Know people are going to buy it, so charge as much as possible. Smart move in our economic structure. But, really pisses me off, but luckily I have Bad Company 2 so don't have to go back and play it.

the funny thing is you already have these maps , its called CoD4

Yeah, MW2 fell off my radar, but as you can see in my GC, I completed it right before BFBC2 launched to get some side-by-side comparison, and while MW2 has a much better theatrical feel to it over BC2, I think BC2 is the better shooter.  For one, it isn't linear in how you clear an obstacle...but I digress...$15 bucks is asking more than what I deem as reasonable for MAPS...frigging DLCs for GTA were only $20, and this was the price for Fallout expansive DLC.  I have to believe that this is due to Kotick being worried about Blizzard, and it's TOTALLY speculation on my part, but sooner or later, the Blizzard guys are going to start to wonder why Kotick gets the bonuses, when they are the one making 70-80% of the profits and revenue.

Yah I was looking for a good reason to go back to the game. Only 3 new maps and 2 others I can still play on COD4.

More arrogance from Activision. Bitch, I'm not gonna pay (at activision)

Oh and the original poster should remember the millions who bought this for PC or PS3

Good thing for me I don't like COD online.

Lol people will still buy it.
