Damnit John Lucas, you almost made me need a change of underwear when you mentioned Blaster Master.... the thought of one for Wii is enough to do that, the things you could do things with the Wii's controls... yowza. The potential is enormous! I'm not a fan of these sandbox games, but I'm being sorely tempted to give it a rental... I almost always hate games where I "play the bad guy".

Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.

I'll break it down: Easy: grabing, punching, draging a guy, and throwing the guy, hitting with the bat(really really fun, you know how many times I'm running to the next mission and I pass a mobster from another mob and they say, "your not welcome around here!" and I just take out my bat and beat him. It's seriously too addictive, I've used the bat in this game more then I've used my bat in 2k7 mlb) Tricky: choking(it usually goes down, it's just a little tricky), Neck snapping don't always work right, but it's fine for the most part, It may even be me getting it wrong. Setting bombs is also easy and I'm a few skill points away from getting the pistol whip move.(skill points are like cool little rpg points where you can get extra abillities) Driving is easy, and the shooting is perfect, it has lock on where the motion controls contribute slightly when aiming at the part of the body you want to shoot, then there is free aim mode too. What's also awesome about this game, is you can ignore the story alltogether and wage war with all of Manhatten, NJ, and Brooklyn if you want. You can hire a bunch of guys to come with you and just go to another mobs compond and take on an army. Or just knock off one of their posts, or rackets. And with the extortions, cameraman, shakedown, hits, favors, crime fighitng, bank robbing you can do, there is all kind of great scenarios for all the motion controls. For example a hit that has to look like an accident gives you a great chance to do the grab and throw. You take the guy on the roof drag him to the edge and throw him. Using the bat to smash up a store is also great.
You have to tell me more I'm drooling..................

You ever play the Blaster Master on PS1 or PS2 I can't remember?

The 360/PS3 versions are graphical powerhouses that really push the envelope, and the Wii version controls in such a fun and intuitive manner that it's a just plain great experience. If the game was a big enough release, would some people consider the games different enough to warrant two purchases of the same title?
Excellent point. I think the first good example of this will be Spiderman 3. Personally I have a Wii and a 360, and I'm more excited about picking up the 360 version. The city should look gorgeous, and I'm comfortable with the old controls from Spiderman 2. In fact I'm afraid the controls might be a little complex for the Wii version. Nonetheless, I thought the same thing about the Godfather until I saw the video, so if I see a great video of the Wii version of spiderman, and if the Wii version has enough different content, I may pick both up. But more then likely I'll buy one, and rent the other. In case of the Godfather, despite the graphics difference, and even ignoring the controls, there is lots of extras for the Wii, story missions, new moves, the ability to call in a hit squad, another whole mafia to deal with, so there is alot more in this game. Yet another factor is price. Let's say you want Spiderman, but you not in love with it. You may like the idea of better graphics but if the Wii gameplay looks fun, the ten dollar price difference may sell you on the Wii version over the 360/ps3 version.

Honestly the best part of the game is probably the voice acting. It's probably the best voice acting in a game i've ever heard. It's perfect. You feel like your watching the movie. Plus if you like the movie. and if you've never seen the movie, or haven't in a while I suggest you do before, or while playing this game. Because the cool thing about this game, is everything that goes down in the movie. You play a role in. Now that is normal for a movie to game, but what makes this the perfect movie for that to work is this, the Godfather is about the big boys in the mob, not the little guys. So think about the movie without me naming spoilers, all the things that happen that the godfather says he'll take care of(but you don't see them happen), you get to be the guy that does it. I'll give you one example in the beginning of the game. REmember in the movie a guy goes to the Don on his daughter's wedding day, and asks for a favor? he wants the don to take care of these guys that abused his daughter. He says he'll take care of it. But you don't see that. We'll in the game your the guy "taking care of it." So it works like that. There is even a whole mission that takes place in California, if you've seen the movie then you can probably guess what your doing there.

I love Spider-man games and I'm going to get the Wii version the day it comes out, but I do wonder how the controls will be.

Just a small off-topic statement.. You do know that the Spiderman Movies are (For the lack of a better word) owned by Sony, right? That kills the "SONY COPIED SPIDERMANS FONT!!" fanboyish arguement...

Sony has the rights to the Spiderman movies, but not all the rights pertaining to the Spiderman franchise. That is owned by Marvel comics, who can license Spiderman video games and merchandise and whatever else not pertaining directly to the specifics of the movies.

I know, I know.. I was just killing the "FONT STEALING!!!" arguement.
