God of War III is set to launch next week on March 16, an occassion many PS3 owners have eagerly anticipated since the 2006 release of God of War II. It seems that anticipation has had a trickle down effect with God of War Collection. Extended NPD sales data shows that God of War Collection has actually seen a boost in sales over January 2010. The remastered anthology charted at the 18th spot in the month of February, rising two spots in comparison to the previous month. God of War Collection has been a bit of a surprise hit, charting in the top 20 software titles just about evey month since it's release, selling roughly 100,000 copies each month. This trend is particularly peculiar because first party Sony games tend to have trouble staying on the charts. This certainly bodes well for Kratos' high def return next week. Analyst Jesse Divnich told us he expected God of War to do 2 million units worldwide in its first few months.
