Forums - Gaming Discussion - GDC News Natal = Sh!t, Move not good and Wii 2 in 2012

Rumours are always fun.

I wonder if Kid Icarus will be a launch title for the Wii 2.

If Natal cant pick up the color black does that mean goth kids cant play

That and Natal is racist.

Supposedly it is having trouble seeing black people.

You left out the next paragraph on Move:

Move's hardware is more than competent and there's certainly a lot of potential, but most of it remained untapped at the event. This opinion is seconded by the developer, which is working closely with the device. They tell me that they believe it will ultimately outperform the Wii remote in responsiveness and say that their own tests are already proving that true. I ask if there is the kind of lag I experienced at Sony's demo and they say no, that it's very fast and reliable when programmed correctly. They add that it still has some calibration issues like the Wii remote, but that it's still an improvement.

It sounds like the software is just not ready to be shown yet. Honestly, I think they should've waited and showed it off with games people care about as well as games that have actually had enough time in the oven to show off the controls properly.

Hopefully we'll finally see Ape Escape 4 at E3, and it'll show off the controls in a nice way.

This is why I love you (not literally, but like...a good friend). You can silence the haters without going overboard like I sometimes do. Anyways, I'm excited for Move. For a lot of the Nintendo fans hating on it, calling it a rip-off (and trolling endlessly without check), just remember that this is the closest thing you've going to get to a potential Wii HD for several years. Maybe it's worth it to stop the trolling for a bit and take a second look.

Well let's hope Move is at least equal to the Wiimote.

And about Natal, they still have time to make it better I guess.

Umm.. Sony has time to make Move better too..

That is precisely what I thought, well done for beating me.

Ps Move will be great when they sort out the software issue, Sony has plenty of time to sort it out, from what I have seen from Socom 4, it does look good

As for Natal, I saw this coming from a mile away, maybe it is not as bad as they make it out to be be, but one thing for sure is Natal definately has problems, we already saw this in the richochet demo before they took out the internal chip.

it's the future of handheld

It's not like Move and Natal are releasing tomorrow. So no one should be calling anything shit as of right now.

I'll wait til till I actually see something for myself to pass judgment on Natal, but as for Move?

That Socom 4 footage looked pretty friggin good if you ask me. Sony has my attention, if they keep bringing in games that look as good as Socom 4 did, then count me as sold.

Move hype took it over, natal was demoed in feb

i am surprised this on cnet, lol this is my favourite sentance

"We tried several games using the main Move controller (see the video above), and the experience was generally very close to what we're used to from the Nintendo Wii, albeit with a much greater sense of precision--even better than using the Wii Motion Plus. There was much less of the jittery movement to the onscreen cursor we're used to from the Wii."

So basically move is just like wimote, with wii motion plus with even more precison

it's the future of handheld

You sir, just blew my mind.

If they announce Infamous 2 with Move support. I'd be forced to buy it. No questions asked.
