I created a thread last night. Usually my threads are ignored so I don't bother. This one was absolutely dripping with sarcasm and tried to be equal in its critisisms. No one in the middle of the night caught its sarcasm, but none of the comments were heated or combative. I didn't get a message from a mod. I would link to the thread but that seems innapropriate. What did I do wrong?

Maybe it was a duplicate thread. Maybe the people in the thread started flaming each other. Post the link and I'll tell you why.

You did nothing wrong. They lock thread Way to quickly. Who care if threads go off topic, that's the beauty, new points get raised and the conversation evolves. Fanboyizm..... It's human nature. My dad is the best, my fav team is the best, and my mom makes then best apple pie......oh, my console is better then yours. It's fun to read, so unless it's offensive, who cares.

Perhaps because these boards in particular have a long and troubled history with people making posts "dripping with sarcasm?"

Post your thread that got locked and then we'll tell you why

all moderators should be posting why a thread was locked. Locking without a reason just confuses people (like the OP) and doesn't lead to people correcting their behavior.

However, looking at your thread, my first answer would be ask Naz. He can look into it for you. There is no reason to post in the forums as it won't get you anywhere. Secondly, my guess is maybe someone figured it was off topic (website suggestion in the sales section).

Anyways, this thread is being locked as it has served its purpose as you now know you should be talking to naz rather than discussing moderator decisions in the forums as can be read below...
