Went to my local walmart today at 10:00am, EST.

Suprisingly, not all of the HDTVs were sold. There were a few of those oh-so coveted Polaroid HDTVs left - the 26" models. I was very shocked.

The video gaming section wasn't as lucky. They were all sold out of Wiis and Xbox 360s. Tons of PS2 and X360 software was going as well.

Tons of software was everywhere - nothing was sold out as of when I saw it. Tons of copies of the new-er games. Not much more to say.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

That's a lot of Wiis! Or are they just boxes?

In offtopic news, I just got mine today in the mail :)

Hehe, jjseth, I'm glad my crowd wasn't like that. We were all pretty cold because we put away our chairs and blankets at 4 am, because that's when the employees started coming in.

I forgot to drink all of my hot chocolate, and in a half hour it was frozen hehe.

But yeah, they slowly trickled 25 people at a time...I just casually walked to my item and checked out, it was nice.

The back of the line was scary though...there were lots of people back there who thought they were getting that $300 laptop or that cheap printer, etc...I almost felt sorry for them, but they did go a bit crazy after the vouchers got handed out...the manager had to yell at them to get back in line, because they were just swarming in circles trying to get their hands on a voucher.

I got a few hours of sleep though, and I thoroughly enjoyed my Thanksgiving.  All in the name of saving some bucks hehe.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

just got back home after a long day. Wal-mart had about 400 people in line i was around number 20 in line. Problem is that there are so many people waiting to budge in line at the last second. Target was more insane, there was easily 500-700 people and the entire store was stuffed. it took forever just to get out of the store because there was just no room to move at all. Gamestop had about 30 people in line, they got 15 wiis in. Software etc got 16 wiis in.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

damn it sucked waiting outside for an hour in 20 degree temperatures with some harsh windchill. I was pretty bundled up by i couldn't feel my feet anymore.

no one has pictures?

my town was featured in numerous AP stories this morning...literally 6+ stores had over 500+ people lining up at 4 am in

30 degree weather with strong winds.

I woke up at 400am feeling hungry and couldn't figure out why. I think there was some sort of strange magnetic affect on my stomach from the people rushing out to buy.

I went to a Target and Best Buy today. Target must have been having some sort of Wii software sale (though there were no signs), because the Wii section was annihilated. I would say 90% of it was gone. With this and the Toys R Us sale, I cannot wait to see the software numbers for the Wii this week! In Best Buy, there were people swarming around the 360 software and the DS software, but it did not look picked over, well I guess the DS stuff kind of was. Everything else seemed rather stocked. I saw one 360 being bought while I was there. Everyone else there seemed to be buying TVs and computer items.

I had to work this morning (Target) so I missed out on the big deals. Was so ready to buy the 37" Olevia for $550 ($500 after my discount), but obviously they were gone quickly...I think they lasted all of a half hour. I managed to snag 300 and Borat for $5 a piece, and The Shawshank Redemption for $3. Great deal all around. Also picked myself up this nice robe for $8.

My "big" thing was one of those fancy rockers with the speakers built in. This one had a subwoofer, and sounds pretty damn nice actually. Plugged my iPod into it for the heck of it, and was rocking out to some Skindred in style. Regular price: $80. Sale price: $30. This will have to hold me over until I can buy a home theater system.

Game of the year.

Now Playing: Guitar Hero III (Wii)
