Forums - PC Discussion - Ubisoft DRM Authentication Servers Go Down

What I find particularly saddening is the response of the Ubisoft mods on the official forum. All manner of posts have been deleted, many of which were completely legitimate complaints, but some particularly nasty images (mostly sexual or open-body related) have been left.

What do you think is worse: a picture of a naked girl evacuating her bowels into her own mouth, or a legitimate customer complaining about DRM-related woes that are not his fault?

According to some Ubi Mods, a complaining customer is by far the worse of the two.

Amusingly, at the time of typing this, the AC2 thread still has many horrible images in it, and has had posts edited and removed after the horrible images were posted. A mod has been by them and ignored them.

Silly Ubisoft.

Ubisoft: " let them eat cake..."

The rest, ofcourse, is history...

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:

a. a AAA 3D sonic title

b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"

c. redesgined PS controller

d. SEGA back in the console business

e. M$ out of the OS business

Fail of the week so far.

I'm never buying game with Ubisoft's DRM, not beeing able to play while offline is just no-go.

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

I agree that it's the fail of the week by quite some measure. It's certainly put me off buying Ubisoft games on PC. Console versions for me until they change their ways, I think.

I think it is a good thing, that Ubi went this route. BF:BC2 just came out, so I wouldnt have time for Ubi games on PC anyhow. I for one, am happy Ubi is intentionally making as minimum an impact as possible on the sales of EA PC games right now. I am hoping for ME:3 , DAO:2 and such to be once again released concurrently on PC and console , and every PC sale for a AAA title now, further guarantees that EA will keep to their current course of PC supported releases and DRM schemes that aren't insanely unreasonable.

So thank you Ubi, for helping give this EA fan hope that EA will continue to not suck!
