What is your favorite type of weapon grouping in Monster Hunter Tri Demo?

Sword & Shield/Long Sword - versatile 9 64.29%

Great Sword - strong but slow 2 14.29%

Hammer/Switch Axe - strong & little slow 1 7.14%

Lance - defense 1 7.14%

Bow Gun - long range 1 7.14%

I don't agree with this poll's grouping 0 0%

Total:14

Which one of these groupings did you enjoy the most in your Monster Hunter Demo? I personally enjoy Sword & Shield/Long Sword a little more than the Hammer/Switch Axe option. I was able to beat the first quest option under 10 minutes with Long Sword and Switch Axe - the two which i think are the most easy to use yet are strong weapons. Haven't tried the second one, yet, though.

A lot of gamestop are giving them out before March 8, and there was a thread earlier with a quite a few people saying they were getting the demo before tomorrow.

Long Sword and Great Sword work the best for me. Great Sword a little better I think.

Sword & Shield easily.
It was a joke to win after I figured out the X, X, A, A, + combo.
Bowgun is also very fun, but difficult to use.

I own all of lastgen systems as of October 2008. (Finally got a Dreamcast)

I own every currentgen system except PS3.

I doubt I'm getting this game but I'd play with Sword & Shield if I were to play this game.

Though, I'm sure as time went on, I'd probably switch to Great Sword.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Where did you guys get the demo?

Magazine?

gamestop, but as far as I know it is only US and Canada right now

I've found try to be a much smoother playing game than freedom, and don't get me wrong I've played freedom 2 for a good ~20 hours just hunting alone gets pretty harsh

one other thing, I can't believe that some people were say that the psp games look remotely close to tri in visual fidelity

fantastic draw distance, far greater environment detail, incredible animation, much more detailed creatures, better lighting, no dithering and a better frame rate, nice to see a game that actually looks like a wii game

anyway I play with the sword plus shield, only because of playing alone, I look forward to the online in which I can use something else to best aid my party

I HAVE A DOUBLE DRAGON CAB IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!

NOW A PUNISHER CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't usually like these types of games. However, if I can get the demo from GameStop then I will at least give it a shot :). Afterwards, I will give my answer to what weapon grouping I used.

That's weird we don't have any switch-axe/hammer fans yet? Those are like the in between of swords and shield and great sword groupings
