And why is it always a non-PS3 fan that has to through out the word "Savior"? PS3 owners can't just be excited for their games?

The entire poll was fairly tongue in cheek (uh hello, Wii HD?).  Why are some PS3 fans so overly sensitive?

It's hard to say. Both consoles will have pricecuts till that point and a lot more great games will come out. I think they will cross the 60m mark in foto finish.

This generation has peaked and is over four years old. I think we'll see sales slow down for all three consoles from here on out, but it will be especially tough for the 360. I doubt the 360 will reach 60 million and I'd give the PS3 a 50/50 shot of making 60 million before this generation ends, and if they keep the PS3 around for a half generation after this, it may reach 75m or so, if they can get the price down.

But it won't have the advantage of being the cheap BD player or a really low price and huge game selection like the PS2.

how can the 360 even get there? its $199 now and it hasnt even topped 40 million yet and its 5 years old.

with the low 3rd party support the "winner" is getting my feeling is that the "winner" is the one that is going to fade out quickly. the "losers" can still survive for some time with the devs and publishers support...

If we assume the 2012 date to be true, who do you think is more likely to buy a 7 year old game console in 2013, the demographs that frequent the Wii or the demographs that frequent the HD consoles?
