Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Portal 2 coming to 360/PC NOT ps3

Wondering where the just-announced Portal 2 is heading to when it releases this holiday? Spoiler: not PlayStation 3. Surprise!

Valve’s Doug Lombardi has told Eurogamer the puzzler will a PC/360 release.

That’s despite the original Portal appearing on PS3 with The Orange Box in 2007, although that version was infamously handled by EA. Valve did development of the PC and 360 versions in-house.

The game was announced as the feature game for the next Game Informer earlier this evening.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

What is the source on this?

Both of the two links above specifically say there's no mention of platform and assumes it will be PC, 360, and PS3.

-edit-

Nevermind, saw it here.

^the eurogamer link says so

And it will be co-op

Co-op should make for some dang interesting puzzles. Should be neat.

Co-op is great news! Has the potential to make the game so much better

As for no PS3. In b4 lazy Valve and fat Gabe.

Gameinformer says "The fiercely independent studio is investing more time, more capital, and more risk into a stand-alone, full-price retail release"

Well, I know what I'm getting my brother for Christmas. He loved the first one.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

Coming this holiday. Portal 2 is the sequel to 2007's Game of the Year and draws from the award-winning formula of innovative game play, story, and music that earned the original over 70 industry accolades. Features single and multiplayer co-op modes.Portal 2 draws from the award-winning formula of innovative gameplay, story, and music that earned the original Portal over 70 industry accolades and created a cult following. The single-player portion of Portal 2 introduces a cast of dynamic new characters, a host of fresh puzzle elements, and a much larger set of devious test chambers. Players will explore never-before-seen areas of the Aperture Science Labs and be reunited with GLaDOS, the occasionally murderous computer companion who guided them through the original game. The game’s two-player cooperative mode features its own entirely separate campaign with a unique story, test chambers, and two new player characters. This new mode forces players to reconsider everything they thought they knew about portals. Success will require them to not just act cooperatively, but to think cooperatively.
