Title says it all, which was your favorite rival from the Pokemon series? Some of them actually aren't the rivals of the game, but I added them because they indeed felt like it at times............nothing to do with trying to fill every poll! Would be interesting to comment the reason why this rival is your favorite.

Blue, its Gary mothafuckin Oak

Silver.

Blue, Gary ftw. I just wish they made a main Pokemon game where you play as ash.

As awesome and iconic as Gary Oak is, he showed up all the time and had lame Pokemon. The Silver guy (who I named Cubone on my first playthrough) actually gives you a breather (since he only shows up every 2 towns), and seems like enough of an asshole to be a real rival.

In short, Gary Oak was much better in the anime than in the videogames.

Blue (or Gary) actually made it through Victory Road and beat the Elite Four to become the champion. The others usually can't make it past the exit of Victory Road.

Still, Silver seems more like an actual Rival (and is the son of Giovanni to boot)... so I'll go with him.
