Everyone is going to bash me for this, but I don't care.  I have played Mario Kart numourus times, and never had the urge to buy it.  It was fun, but I had a problem with the blue shell.  It sucked, because you could be kicking ass and taking names.  Then boom, somebody hammers you with the blue shell right before the finish.

This game may not be as deep with tracks and characters, but it makes up for it in visuals and not having a blue shell.  If you like Mario Kart you will like this game.  I can't believe no one is buying this!  It is a great game and deserves some sales!

the reason no one buys this is:

- 20 million Wii owners already own Mario Kart Wii
- The game is too "kiddy" for PS360 owners

Well as I said in my post.  If you "Have" Mario Kart wii you should get this game.  It is basically Mario Kart 2 without the blue shell and better graphics

I think Mario Kart would actually be less balanced without the blue shell, and more possibly even more frustrating too. The thing is, most of the items hit people in proximity, they especially hurt you if you're part of the pack continually using all sorts of items. If you can manage to get a decent lead, ahead of the pack, the only items you have to worry about are red shells (just drag bananas behind you) and blue shells. So without blue shells, it would make it more difficult to win unless you get an early lead, when part of the point of Mario Kart is that you always feel there's a *chance* you could get ahead and steal victory.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

I plan to get this game. But not at $40.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Picking this up because it's alot more like the older mario kart games in that it's less random. Mario Kart Wii was so ridiculously random there was no skill involved.
Whenever your near the lead you get hit by at least 2-3 items, one right after the other. Gets frustrating, and forget about getting a sizeable lead.
Though I would gladly take the original for the SNES or Mario kart N64 over any kart racer, those were great games.

I would not mind playing this myself. Then again I have like 5-6 games I want in the next few months that I am more excited about. Maybe I will get it when the price drops.

Game rocks. Playing it on the 360... The little missions are awesome and track design is stellar.

24 freekin tracks.

Mario Kart is slightly better but damn...Mario Kart has been out for 2 years now. Time to move on people, play something else.

Yet you will pay 50 for Mario Kart?  This game is every bit as good and fun as mario kart, yet it is not worth 40?  That make absolutely no sense!  This is what I can't stand, people get Mario games because of the name.  New Super Mario Bros Wii is fantastic and I love the game.  Then I also had Mario Party 8 and that game sucked.  It is a mind thing, nintendo is not the only company that make great games!

I want this game. But I don't have any money

Banjo is calling me... :(:(
