Forums - Sony Discussion - Is GOWIII ad campaign is going to be as effective as Heavy Rain's campaign?

One of the key element for the Heavy Rain surprisce success if its marketing campaign which many said was very intriguing and also a bit extensive. They showed the ad before the launch of the game and also showed quite a few ads.

So do you think Sony will go for even more extensive and brutal marketing campaign for GOWIII?? and is it going to be as effective as Heavy Rain.??

If they started that already, it would've conflicted with their Heavy Rain ads. They probably were waiting for Heavy Rain to get some spotlight, and are now gearing up for GOW 3

I think GOW3 Is going to sell itself. The demo had something like 4 million downloads.

Maybe it was just me, but I didn't see a single Heavy Rain ad on TV.

^^^me neither

but i m sure Sony goes all out for GOd of war. They always do.I remember the ads from GOWI and II and chains of Olympus on tv and all over the city bus stops.

^ same here(and haven't seen a single FFXIII commercial)

but I think god of war 3 will sell itself

So i'm not going to see a commercial then? Hooray.

expect ALL the FFXIII budget marketing that Sony would have spent on FFXIII to be "relocalised" on GoW3

FFXIII : no ads / no bundle

GoW3 : ads + bundle

Sony will get so much mroe money on GoW3 sales versus FFXIII sales that they just dont need/have to market FFXIII

Time to Work !
