Because there was a video posted about how to fix your broken PS3 and a guy unplugged his PS3. He then plugged in his 360 and was like problem solved. haha

where have you been for the past 3 year's that's what almost alway's happen's.

nothing new there other than what else can go wrong with the PS3?

as soon as something like this hit's , all the good press that Sony does ever seem to get vanish when something else get's negative. it does not matter though, the year of the PS3 will alway's be every year because it seem's to me it get's bad press every year. got to love free advertising.

not very likely, due to the fact your trophy's are tied to your PSN account online. check online with your PC if you can and you can see if your updated trophy stat's are there then you have not lost any. other than maybe the one's not sync. since the last time you were online and sync the trophy's.

I have lots of trophies that never got linked up to my PSN account because I can't log onto PSN from my dorm.  Sucks, not that big of a deal... I just hope they find a solution for online and offline users soon.  I just need it working by the 9th... I'd like it working sooner so I can finish WKC.

I'm pretty sure they got the Slim so they dodged a bullet there when they bought the 2200 PS3's. But they also bought 336 PS3's a couple years ago so there problably screwed with them.

I did not see any of these notices ahead of time, my PS3 was running when the issue occurred. I have manually changed the date to the correct date but am still unable to log in with my 60gig PS3.
This sux, I can't even play any games. Sony better fix this issue and fast, I refuse to format my PS3 to fix this issue. I have too many damned saves I cannot lose.

is it safe to turn my triple on yet?

Apparently my original 60GB just had the issue. Called the wifey at home and told her not to turn it on. Too late, she was watching a movie. Told her to check the system clock after she was done. It's Borked. crap.

o'l i would say it's quite safe to turn the PS3 on and use it. but as for the Fix that may be a while, i would say within the week, most likly in the next few day's. Now it could indeed take longer, let's hope not but if this is indeed a bios clock state which I think it is, than it even may correct  itself by tue.not saying it will for a fact but it may.

update:

you prob.  can turn it on and use it but the data store may not keep until the fix has been uploaded to the PS3 ,

I guess with the recent post that  sony's state's not to use it. for that reason.
