Yes, we know. I think this has been said several thousand times through this site and others within the last hour or so. I think the title of this topic itself would give that exact same idea.

updates can be downloaded on usb from pc and then u can update your ps3 even if offline so we shouldn't be fucked eitherway

I signed in to PSN and everything, it definately isn't a psn issue..

Sony is screwed though.. I doubt a firmware could fix this..

I unplugged the mobo battery once I got to it...and through all the fixing with the heat gun, compound, etc...I would say it was unplugged for about 2 hours. Do you think that may have something to do with it still working for me?

My PS3 clock has been off by about 10 minutes for awhile now, so hopefully this fixes that. It's been bugging me.

every dev kit with a ps3 has failed..

this is a VERY SERIOUS situation.. if sony cannot fix this by firmware, and if the ps3's do not correct themselves.. I fear the worst will happen, and that is the END OF THE PLAYSTATION 3

time  I would bet would not do it..though strange thing's have happened..

I am now almost certain it is indeed a Bios check problem. due to the fact that the Mobo battery on the PS3 keep's the bios state no matter if the PS3 is on/off

thus even the developers debug unit's would indeed be effected by this.
