How can this be ? If a PS3 isnt connected it works still so how can it not work ? Games dont need an Online activation or something like that. And if it wants an Update just press circle.

i am on a launch 60gb ps3. i turned my system on and could not connect to the network. the calendar has reset itself to 12/31/1999. so i manually set the calendar to the correct date. then i went to play heavy rain and it gave me the trophy error and kicked me out. i then noticed all my heavy rain trophies (i had at least 40 of them) were gone. i tried disable in network settings, and still none of the games are playable.

i have a friend without internet, the same thing happened to his, and now he can't play any games. how is anything sony does with the network going to help him?

i'm thinking we have to send them in, and if that's the case i am going to be royally pissed off.

well atleast this will give some time to play some PS1/PS2 games or some old non-trophy enabled games

My g/f's ps3 having problems too with her Heavy RAin.

Tried to play Wheelman earlier and couldn't start it. Also tried to play Battle Fantasia and one other PSN game and no dice. Flow would work but nothing would unlock, trophy-wise.

Mine worked all day until i turned it off for dinner and turned it off and i restarted it and it told me error 8001050F and i didn't know what to think. I have been having an anxiety attack until i realised that this was a widespread problem.

So it's not WKC... Hmm...
Then how can I possibly have a PSN problem when I do not log onto PSN?
