Forums - Sony Discussion - No Sony developer lives up to the Polyphony standard

Polyphony Digitial sets the standard which no other Sony 1st/2nd party developer even comes close to, lets not forget this. Polyphony sets the standard for both technical excellence and no compromises to gameplay. A game like GT is as good to play on the 10th hour as it is on the 100th hour. They don't make a game which you'll be tempted to just rent and never play again. They design the game to be a great experience you can keep returning to, not something which will only give you maximum enjoyment on one playthrough. Their standards are the highest, their skill is the best and their will is the strongest of them all.

Other Sony games compromise on framerate at 30FPS, Polyphony gives you 60 with no compromises.

Other Sony games compromise on resolution, Polyphony gives you 1280/1080 with 2xMSAA @ 60FPS or 1280 by 720 @120FPS for 3D which makes it the only disc release which gives you this on any console and it will likely stay this way until GT6 comes out if it does this generation.

Other Sony games compromise gameplay for technology, Polyphony gives you a pure game with pure technology no cavaet.

Other Sony games rely on cinematic elements which use up much of their entertainment value on the first playthrough, meaning you may be better off renting many of the lesser Sony titles. Polyphony plays for keeps and the sales figures really show this.

Other Sony games make people ask where the content is that supposedly fills up a Blu Ray disc. Polyphony shows you the content in plain sight.

Other Sony games are bit players in their niches, Polyphony Digital owns the large niche of driving simulators and noone compares to them but everyone aspires to be them.

All other Sony developers are inferior to Polyphony Digital.

Do you know what its like to live on the far side of Uranus?

That's probably a good thing. If they were all like Polyphony they'd go bankrupt. Sooner or later somebody has to release a god damn game.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

If they were all as good as Polyphony digital they'd be incredibly wealthy.

And no other Sony developer is as rich as PD...

I think PD's standards are a bit too high some times...

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Other Sony games are released on time.

Only Polyphony Digital games are finished then tweaked then shown to the public at E3 then improved and finally polished then released in a taster format then have cars added then etc.

No SONY Dev takes as much time to put out one damn game as PD... seriously...

If Insomniac releases a game this year that makes 5 full PS3 games and a PSN game. In this same time all PD has done is 1 PSP title and a demo.

Even if we consider that PD has 110 Employees while Insomniac has 195, the difference is still huge since Insomniac has put out more than 3 times the content.

4 ≈ One

They make a friggin racing game

that's the difference with most other Sony developers

The OP is right but if this game does not come out in 2010.. they take to long to reach such quality.. I mean comon.. like half a year ago I was sure that it would release in 2009... now I am not even sure if I should believe 2010.. lmao..
