best: the desktop you build yourself (i think apple makes some of the best laptops though)
worst: MDG Computers. I've heard enough horror stories to draw this conclusion.

@Jeff: Some people like Macs for reasons that may escape you. Heck, the PC I use to play l4d2 with you runs Snow Leopard because I prefer it for general use.

Apples are mostly overpriced bullshit. You know they are, just admit it and be done with it.

I got a Thinkpad, because you can replace almost any part and its got a built in rollcage so you can run over it with a truck.

I know you said computer but im saying laptop.

Hmmm don't know if I can decide the 'best' since all computer companies have been moving their production facilities to Taiwan or other cheaper places to save money. This is why quality has been going down in my opinion. But I'll give my opinion (im a computer tech for a fairly large company)

Best: Used to be Dell but they are slipping, build your own is and always has been best

Worst: HP

While I am by no means an Apple lover or hater, I always am amused at the people who blindly defend them as the best PC company. They do have some great ideas with design, user interface and tech support but their blatant extreme overcharging for rather mediocre spec'd PCs and laptops just disgusts me. So while I like them for some things, I really dislike them for others.

Best: Dell currently, haven't had any problems with this comp in the year I've had it. Runs everything great and I can run games on it.

Worst: HP/Toshiba, My HP crapped out 3 times, the screen then broke, and then the wireless dissapeared so it's completly dead. All in 3 years. My Toshiba is slow as hell, can't connect to the internet right, and constantly freezes on programs.
