You know what's even more funny? If most wii owners don't play games. Than the the ones that do
must buy 100's of games a year. Wii owners are even more hardcore

probably the reason that comes up is that sales are the only measurement not based on somebodys opinion.

Sales have certain inherent biases in them too. Many games that could have sold greater than they did were restrained by poor advertising or other inhibiting factors (like the platform didn't sell as much as it should have).

 

Sales are a greater leveler than anything else, but are not the end-all of determining quality. If only there were a fixed method of pro-rating sales against advertising budget, release date, and maybe a few other things (like the fact that to sell a game involves monetary concerns that might obscure quality concerns)

Sounds like the only Wii games this guy has played, are Wii Fit or Wii Play. I find myself playing slightly more with my Wii than with my PS3 and WAY more than with my 360. Nintendo has the best First-party developers and Ninty has done an excellent job in pleasing both their loyal followers as well as their new fans. The only ones that find the Wii inferior to the other consoles are the "players" who refer to themselves as "HRDC00R GAMRZ!!1", who would probably buy Superman 64 if remade with HD graphics, over-the-top blood and constant cussing and trolls like these...

My point is: STFU Fredrik Liliegrin!

Nah, well, it's nothing to freak out about... (I could've just said that in the first place to avoid writing all this boring text...)

Well I should specify things with which I agree:

1) No publisher will risk developing new IP for Wii, it's just not as viable as developing for HD

2) Most Wii sales are from people that were not gamers before > seen it, bought it, tryied it > but are not gamers in the traditional sense

I don't agree with Wii not beeing game console, or beeing a Toy. But those things I've mentioned above are supported by logical dediction from software sales of Wii third party software.

2. Then explain why the Wii has relatively the same software attach ratio as the PS3?
