Forums - Sony Discussion - Heavy Rain freezing and corrupting save data

http://www.joystiq.com/2010/02/24/heavy-rain-freezing-but-not-turning-into-snow/

First: Sorry about the obvious gag. Second: It seems several players are having an issue with their copy of Heavy Rain not only seizing up but (in a few cases) corrupting their save data; you can read all the stories on the PlayStation forums. Info is limited at the moment, but a Sony rep in the thread suggested the stopgap of waiting at least five minutes before rebooting if a freeze occurs. The rep seemed hopeful that measure would enough to avoid save data corruption.

Heavy Rain is intense enough without having to worry about losing your save data at any moment. Here's hoping we have word of a fix soon.

[Thanks, Ryan S.]

Sounds like bad news, but I'm sure it'll be fixed soon. Make sure you wait those 5 minutes though!

No freezing problem but **Spoiler** in the prologue the scene to swordfight with the kids wouldn't initialize, so I spent an hour wandering around the house doing everything I could over and over. I had to go on the internet to find out what was supposed to happen, then I restarted and it kicked off as soon as I walked outside. I mean, it's Heavy Rain, how was I supposed to know that I wasn't just supposed to stare at the clouds?

There's another thread about this right now.

Hmmm, willl definitely wait to get this game until I'm sure the kinks have all been ironed out.

Myyy bad, I failed searching for it I guess -.-

Though it looks like some people didn't see it, so I don't mind a duplicate thread to raise awareness of this kind of thing.
