So the 360 vs PS3.

-Sub HD in-game visuals vs HD in-game visuals
-720p compressed videos vs the PS3's 1080p amazing crisp videos
-360 version has inferior textures, character/enemy models, dithering and lighting in all places
-Compressed sound for the 360 version vs the lossless PS3 audio
-3 DVD9 discs vs 1 Blu-Ray disc
-Install vs no Install for the PS3 Version and minimal load times
-Better control layout for the PS3
-Probable frame drops and texture pop-in for the 360 version
-PS3 trophies unlock custom themes

The icing on the cake?

Final Fantasy XIV and VsXIII are GUARANTEED to come to the PS3

So there you go for those that don't know what version to get or what console to pick up to get FFXIII.

All this shows me is the 360 version is just a cash in that SE didnt really put the effort into... How has a company known for reeking quality stooped to releasing such a sub-par port?

so who said "there is no difference between the two versions" again ?

That they somehow convinced Microsoft to advertise, guaranteeing it'll sell at least moderately well.  Smart move on their part.  It's like free money.

But yeah, this is a dupe thread.  This issue has been discussed to death.  And I have half a mind to lock the other thread too.
