GOW 3 is soon to be released and is being billed as the new graphics king. Do you think GT5 will look better or is GOW 3 the game that can only be matched but not passed?

They're way too different to tell. I don't know which one will be more impressive in terms of rendering, but this will come down to nothing but taste.

Yes, GT5 is the best console graphics of this generation. At least so far.

A. God of War 3 is far from graphics king. It's not even close, IMO. I don't see how anyone thinks this after every gameplay vid and all the screenshots I've seen, to be honest.

B. They are completely different genres, but if you really even think you can compare them at all, then yes GT5 will look more realistic.

I know they're both different games and it's also down to preference however they'll both have a lot of action happening on screen. One could be more detailed but run less smoother and vice vesa. Either way i'm sure a lot of ps3 owners will get both

GOW isnt even considered the new graphics king as alot of games look better than it coming out this year including Heavy rain and Alan wake.

GT5 will have better graphics than all the games mentioned though but the graphics king this year will be crysis 2.

I should hope so, after a 5(?) year dev cycle, and the fact that you have to animate NOTHING in GT5, as opposed to GOW3 which is pretty dynamic in animation and you have multiple animations on screen at once. Really, all racing games consist of (graphically) is a static image with a moving camera, you should be able spit shine that sucker till it glows.

Well Gt5 will have to look better because its a racing game.
