Absolutley not. I am 26 and my first love of games came from going over my cousins and playing his atari 2600. I got a colecovision when I was about 5-6 years old.

 One thing I believe to be true is that Sony,Sega and MS need to thank Nintendo for saving console gaming(though it seems most of those companies have lost their share of $$$ due to it). PC and possibly Mac gaming would be the 2 main platforms if Nintendo didnt make the NES/Famicom. 



Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I don't think Sony and M$ would care if consoles wouldn't exist anymore, their main focus is elsewhere anyway. Oh, and on topic: Mario is my favourite charcter. Has been for 20 years now.
