Forums - Gaming Discussion - Could it be a demo that actually works?

I was on the fence about Heavy Rain ( actually leaning towards not getting it) when I downloaded the demo and loved it. Every single game I have ever played a demo for I had already made up my mind about whether or not I was gonna get it. This demo is the first to change my mind about a game.

Add this to the fact that I frequently hear people saying that X game is much better than it looks in a demo and I am quite surprised. A demo should make people want to buy your game and then find out it's rubbish after you get their money.

On a side note I got a pleasant surprise from a Co-worker today who was going on about the game after he too downloaded the demo. This was a surprise to me since he might be what you would call a casual or traditional gamer (he like FPS's, sports games and fighting games hates RPG's etc)

Lol. That's what I'm talking about. That was a successful demo, sorry about your friend though.

Somehow, I've been reading that a lot with Heavy Rain

Same with me I wasn't as excited for Heavy Rain as others, but after playing the demo I really want to get it.

Same thing happened with Batman, one of my favorite games from last year.

It's happened too many times to mention.
But also the reverse as well.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Never would have even given Batman: AA a glance had it not been for that demo. Not a comic book fan at all. The demo had me hooked and I bought it Day 1.
