Scripted gunning segment? Interesting...

Buh?! They brought them back from the Halo CE alpha :D:D:D. Can't wait go ride one of these through a battle with an energy sword! Haha! That will be an epic experience in coop.

And I just had a thought....how epic would it be if they gave us a scarab to fight in firefight every once in a while?

Notice the 3 scarabs in the bottom left of this image.  Going to be some epic background battles going on in the game.

I doubt that's a scripted gunning segment. More likely the beginning or end of a mission where you are either picked up or dropped off by the drop ship.

That's also a possibility. To me it just looks like a gameplay segment because of the gun placement but then again there's no reticle and Halo games usually zoom out when you're on a gun mount. 

Seriously someone needs to tell me what the heck that beast thing is in the pictures above!!!

I think it is the same beast that was planned to be in Halo: CE and was present in the E3 2000 demo as well as a walkthrough of the evolution of Halo: CE, where they actually showed the Chief riding one.

It would be amazing if you could ride those in Reach. Imagine riding into a battle holding an energy sword with your friends in coop. That would be a hilarious site to behold.

Ah ok....I remember watching those videos a long time ago, just didn't remember seeing anything like that in them.

I hope there's some other wildlife in Halo Reach too.
