Although I'd be glad to clarify that the models are just as awkward as any character in Killzone 2 that doesn't wear a helmet and Uncharted 2's Winter Drake.

No best character models are ME2 overall. Heavy Rain lost alot of detail in the eyes, animation and clothing detail. Alan Wake has best clothing detail, ME2 best faces ( includes eye animations ). Heavy Rain has alot of low textures for every high one.

Sorry to break it to you selnor, but the 360 game with the best engine is going to have to go to Halo:Reach. Your thread is already outdated :)

Selnor is it really worth it? You continue to embarras yourself with these silly threads. I'm at the stage, where I actually wish, some of those games were really as good looking as you hype them to be, so you wouldn't make such a fool of yourself.

Why can't you wait till they are released for god's sake? You used bulletshots for Forza, yet in the end, that game didn't look nearly as good as they've made it to be. Since Killzone 2 launched, there hasn't been any better looking game on the Xbox till this day and that's fact which industry experts agreed upon. There will be day when Uncharted 2's graphics will be bested, there might come day, when Xbox has better looking game than Killzone 2 (yet alone Uncharted...). But till than, please, have MERCY on us with this bullshit. Your posts are offending to everyone who uses logic.

Anyway, these screens do look a lot better then the jagged ones he promoted a few months ago. With the corner that looked square, anyone remember? I was starting to worry that Aw would be uglier then Mag with the exceptance that Mag is 256 players and Alan is just, well alan..

I used to get intrested when selnor said :"best graphics ever!" but know i know just to ignore it.It seems every other day theres a game that mysteriously has better graphics htan uncharted 2 for example.

Beacuse its not a game? (Yes i went there). Seriously though i already preordered it so im not saying it will be bad but. You cant compare an interactive movie to an actual game. You know how much you can cheat when you do an interactive movie?

Alan Wake has not 'really kicked graphics to new levels this gen on consoles' at all.

Firstly, only the top screen is gameplay and apart from the lighting, Uncharted 2 looks nicer in every way. If you want to talk about lighting, Killzone 2 nailed that a while ago. I think you're confusing 'atmosphere' with 'graphics' because Alan Wake has awesome atmosphere and I think that's what these screens show really well but I can't see how this is as big a leap graphically that your making it out to be.

Really have a look at the pictures, the textures are really nice but the rocks are jaggy. I also fail to see the amazing draw distances, the only screen that shows a nice draw distance is the one with a big lake and not much else on screen, it's also not gameplay.

If you had have said, 'one of the nicest looking games of the year/generation so far' I'd have agreed but Alan Wake certainly isn't taking anything to another level.
